The sand dunes scattered in Egypt or the Arab world cause great dangers to the population and urban environment and desert roads, in addition to stopping desert development in those areas. Many methods are used to install sand dunes, including agricultural, such as palm cultivation, or chemical methods, such as the use of cement or asphalt, which did not give encouraging results from an economic or environmental point of view.
A field experiment was conducted with a new type of polymeric emulsions to stabilize sand dunes with a thickness of up to ten centimeters on a road in the New Valley Governorate. Which is characterized by being easy to use as it is applied using sprayers, an environmentally friendly material where it is diluted with water and the thickness of the layer used can be controlled, when completely dry it does not leave any change in the color and shape of the soil so it can be used in military purposes and tourist villages as it does not change the shape and the nature of the region, and it was prepared from inexpensive materials that are easy and quick to use.
It can be used for quick paving and stabilization of sandy soil, and it can also be used to stabilize the shoulders of canals and drains instead of costly tamping operations.
These materials were produced with Egyptian thought and at an economic cost that dispenses with importing any of the other materials.
